What is a Target House?
A Target House is where a Unit stores their Targets for a given Fiscal Year. Think of it as a space that combines a Unit and a Fiscal Year, where Unit managers can look at their Unit's Targets for that year in context.
Target Houses sit above Targets: each one holds all of a Unit's Targets for the year. Once the Targets are in place, the Target House is approved to make it valid for the Fiscal Year.
Creating and managing Target Houses
Creating a Target House
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Unit | The Unit the Target House belongs to. See Managing Units. |
| Fiscal Year | The Fiscal Year the Target House refers to. See Managing Calendars. |
| Owners | Responsible for the development of the Target House. Default to the Unit owners, but can be changed. |
| Approvers | A Target House–specific role: those who approve the Target House for the Fiscal Year. Default to the Unit approvers, but can be changed. |
Target House approval
Approval is done by the Target House's Approvers — see Context-level roles.
Requesting Target House Approval
After creating all of your Targets, you must approve your Target House to make it valid for the Fiscal Year:
After submitting, the Target House status changes to Pending approval and the Approver(s) are notified to review and submit their decision.
Approving a Target House
As a Target House approver, you'll review approval submissions and provide approval or instructions for changes:
After a decision, the owner(s) are notified. On approval, the status changes to Approved. If denied, it changes back to Draft.
History
History is a log of everything relevant that changes in a Target House over time. It's a timeline of the changes, showing who made them and when. To open it, use the Target House's More Options button and choose View history.
